Gold Coast City Choir’s major performance of Opera Pops 2

Opera Pops was a huge hit for the Gold Coast City Choir in 2006. It featured big operatic hits from well-known local soloists supported by the talented and diverse voices of the Gold Coast City Choir. These songs were not just sung – they were performed using flamboyant costumes, exciting choreography and perfect props. Feature musicians also added their own magical touch.
All this resulted in huge accolades and calls for an encore performance.

with Opera Pops 2!
 

This time it shall be performed in the Paradise Showroom at the Gold Coast Arts Centre, July 26 2008, and same core elements will be in place:
• great operatic numbers that people know and love,
• fabulous local soloists and musicians
• dramatic choral sounds from the Gold Coast City Choir (60 strong voices from the local community)
• choreography, costumes, comedy and dramatic performance
• all directed and conducted by the talented Ruth Gurner.

So come along for a night of wonderful music, performance, culture and fun that will quench your thirst for a great night out. No doubt, it’ll leave audiences calling for more (enter plans for Opera Pops 3 …)
