About the event

“Harvey” is a Pulitzer Prize-winning play about loveable drinker, Elwood P Dowd - an affable, wealthy gentleman whose best friend is Harvey, an invisible giant rabbit. Elwood’s sister, Veta Louise, is determined to launch her daughter into society. Shielding her family from the embarrassment of her brother’s eccentric behaviour, she tries to commit Elwood to the mental illness clinic. Her scheme hilariously backfires when the play becomes a comedy of errors.


Character requirements:


Elwood P Dowd: Everybody likes Elwood and he likes absolutely everyone. Although he is considered crazy by many, Elwood succeeds in winning his critics over by softening the hearts of those he encounters, charming them, and -- ultimately -- changing them for the better. Everyone who comes into contact with Elwood becomes more caring and more open-minded as a result of knowing him. He is an innocent dreamer.
