SYNOPSIS: A local Theatre Group are preparing for opening night of a new play by a more than odd, death obsessed local playwright/director. The coffin, a prop for the play's opening scene has gone missing, and with only two hours to curtain several of the main cast still stuck in a traffic jam, the hysterical playwright/director rushed to hospital after falling down a flight of stairs, electrical issues and a missing sound tech are just a few of the problems that the poor demented stage manager, the theatre president and backstage crew have to deal with. And there's more!!!!!!

Alzheimer's disease is a disease that affects millions of people worldwide and is number 1 killer of all diseases in Australia. 

It is a long terminal illness causing distress and suffering to people with this devastating disease and their loved ones.

A series of forums will be presented at the following venues where the audience will be invited to ask questions and a light supper/afternoon tea will be provided free of charge.

The acclaimed international smash hit musical THE BOY FROM OZ makes its long-awaited debut at The Star Gold Coast for a strictly limited season from October 14, 2022. Bringing to life the behind-the-scenes story of legendary Australian entertainer Peter Allen this production is presented by Spotlight Theatrical Company, is directed and choreographed by Drew Anthony and features an all-star cast of Queensland’s top musical theatre talent.

Featuring some of the most iconic songs ever written by an Australian including I Go To Rio, I Honestly Love You, Don’t Cry Out Loud, Everything Old Is New Again and the Academy Award winning Arthur’s Theme, this production will dazzle and electrify, and have you singing (and crying) through Peter’s incredible life story.
