The Gold Coast Theatre Alliance Inc run by delegates from 35 Community Performance companies will mount a Community Arts Festival to promote and encourage community participation and to increase awareness in the Gold Coast Community of Performance Arts. At one place the community will discover and experience a vibrant LIVE ARTS Community. The culturally diverse event will involve highly experienced Arts administrators, members of 35 community organisations, professional performers, professional facilitator’s, community performers, educators, businesses, interstate guest speakers, and forum facilitators.
Through community and professional partnerships we plan to include;

Promotional courtyard stalls open to all live performance and associated businesses.

An outdoor under cover stage featuring free entertainment by local community performers and emerging young talent.

Free Workshops conducted by professional facilitators.

Mini-conventions where arts administrators including interstate guests get together to discuss the ARTS and provide answers to interested parties.

PANEL DISCUSSION –Moderated by a prominent specialist Arts’ Academic, to include leading Gold Coast Community Directors and Arts administrators in a guided discussion, question and answer session about the present situation, value and future of Community Performance Arts.

PERFORMING RIGHTS FORUM – facilitated by interstate guests including from Hal Leonard Pty Ltd Sydney and David Spicer Productions

We aim to provide as many free activities to the public as possible to ensure they can experience the Arts through a varying number of creative displays, lectures, entertainments and workshops. The sustainability of Community Live performance depends on the ability to attract audiences and this event will give greater opportunity to connect with new markets and build a stronger cultural community of live performance.
