Join Javeenbah Theatre in the mystery surrounding a group of Australian schoolgirls as their Valentine’s Day outing takes an unexpected turn. What fate awaits the three seniors and their mathematics teacher atop Hanging Rock's rugged cliffs? Inspired by Joan Lindsay's bestselling novel, this captivating play delves into a perplexing disappearance that shakes a quaint Australian countryside community. Who holds the key to the mystery? TAMBORINE MOUNTAIN:


Attention all aspiring actors in the Tamborine Mountain vicinity! Join Tamborine Mountain Little Theatre for the AUDITIONS of the play "Family Values" on the 12th of March at 7.30 pm at Zamia. For more details on the play and audition scenes, click here. We are looking for 5 females aged 20 to 70 and 1 male around 40.


Additionally, their upcoming production features two of Alan Bennett's dramatic monologues from Talking Heads, directed by Lesley Sawyer. In "Nights in the Gardens of Spain," Rosemary Horrocks's life is transformed by a neighbour escaping an abusive marriage, leading to a heart-warming friendship. "The Hand of God" follows Lawrence, an antiques dealer who befriends his elderly neighbour to acquire their treasures but faces unexpected challenges.


Alan Bennett's Talking Heads series showcases twelve award-winning monologues, each presenting a unique and compelling character directly to the audience.

Bennett's writing delves into human relationships with wit and insight.


Note: "Nights in the Gardens of Spain" addresses themes of domestic violence and may be emotionally intense. Enjoy cabaret seating and bring your own drinks and snacks.

Make sure you've bought your tickets to watch "12 Dancing Princesses," a locally created Children's Pantomime.


The entire cast consists of locals, and all crew members from Tweed Theatre Company are volunteers – you might even recognize your neighbour on stage. This show is sure to impress.

"While a fictional tale, "The Man from Earth" prompts us to contemplate the enigmas of existence and the ever-flowing passage of time. This stage adaptation is inspired by the fascinating 2007 American science fiction film helmed by Richard Schenkman and penned by acclaimed sci-fi writer Jerome Bixby. The narrative unfolds as colleagues of university history professor John Oldman are taken aback by his unexpected retirement announcement. He reveals a startling reason – his immortality compels him to move on every decade to avoid suspicion.


Catch "The Man from Earth" from Friday, March 8th at 7.30 pm until Sunday, March 24th at 2 pm, featuring cabaret-style seating (select your table upon booking) and the option to bring your own food and drinks (including alcohol). Snacks, tea, and coffee will also be on offer at the canteen.
