TAMBORINE MOUNTAIN:

This weekend at Tamborine Mountain Little Theatre, catch the performances of Talking Heads - Nights in the Gardens of Spain & The Hand of God, both written by Alan Bennett and directed by Lesley Sawyer.

  • "Nights in the Gardens of Spain" delves into themes of domestic violence, offering a poignant story about Rosemary Horrocks and her transformative friendship with a neighbour escaping an abusive marriage, portrayed by Cath Buckley.

  • In "The Hand of God," Lawrence, an antique dealer, finds his schemes unravelling as he tries to befriend an elderly neighbour to acquire their antiques, with Brendan Payne in a captivating role.

Additionally, auditions for the play "Family Values" will be held on March 12th at 7.30pm at Zamia. The production is seeking 5 females aged 20 to 70 and 1 male around 40. For more information on the play and audition excerpts, click here.

Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra are excited to announce their collaboration with CSi Club Southport. Symphony in the Sky is an elegant fundraising event combining a sophisticated dinner with a captivating live orchestral performance by the Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra. Set on the rooftop and against the stunning backdrop of the Gold Coast skyline, this black-tie affair aims to raise awareness and support for The Gold Coast Centre Against Sexual Violence, while offering attendees an exquisite three-course meal, drinks package*, and a mesmerizing musical experience.

Gold Coast Little Theatre recently hosted their annual Dolphins Awards at the theatre last Saturday.


The event highlighted the accomplishments of the past year and the sense of belonging within the GCLT family.

NORTHERN BEACHES, NSW, & TWEED HEADS


TWEED

Step into a magical world with "12 Dancing Princesses" this weekend, Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th, at Tweed Theatre Company. MURWILLUMBAH


Murwillumbah Theatre Company is hosting auditions on Tuesday, March 19th at 7 pm for their second play of the year, "Cosi" by Louis Nowra, at Murwillumbah Civic Centre Auditorium.

They are seeking 7 male and 4 female actors ranging from late teens to 70s. Except for Lewis, the Director, and Justin, the social worker, all characters are patients in a mental institution. Additionally, backstage crew, sound and light technicians, as well as volunteers for set and costume design, may be needed. Rehearsals will be held two evenings a week and some weekends leading up to the opening.

Also don't miss the sci-fi production of "The Man from Earth" this Friday, March 8th at 7:30pm. Enjoy cabaret-style seating (choose your table when booking) and the option to bring your own food and drinks, including alcohol. Snacks, tea, and coffee will be available at the canteen. The season continues until Sunday, March 24th at 2 pm.
